NRA Instructor Training: Pistol Instructor
Course Description: This course certifies NRA instructors to teach the Basic Pistol and First Steps Pistol courses.

Length: 10 hours + exam
Prerequisites: NRA basic instructor training (6 hours), NRA Home Firearm Safety instructor (4 hours)
Required Equipment: A centerfire handgun, a minimum of 2 spare magazines or speedloaders, eye and ear protection, a baseball cap (to deflect spent brass and keep the sun out of your eyes) and a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition. NRA Trainer's Guide and Home Firearm Safety instructor and student materials.

Facility: A-Zone Range
Times: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. plus a review and exam session
Scheduled: 1-2 times per year
