NRA Range Safety Officer Training

Course Description: This course is intended to develop NRA Range Safety Officers who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. This course is strongly recommended for instructors as well as anyone running a firing line at a commercial or gun club range, or anyone working as a match official at any type of shooting competition.
Topics: The role of the range safety officer, range inspection and range rules, range safety briefing, emergency procedures, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, review and test.
Length: eight hours
Prerequisites: previous shooting experience
