Personal: Brian Brown is VP for Security and Technology with RenewData, and is an active member of Team Rubicon and the Travis County Search and Rescue Team.

Brown is a licensed Private Investigator (qualified manager) in the state of Texas. He takes an active role in the information technology community through his speaking engagements at conferences, attendance of prominent industry groups such as the High Tech Crime Investigators Association (HTCIA), Infragard, Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), and he has written numerous magazine articles on the topic of information security.
