KR TRAINING SEPTEMBER 2015 NEWS

BASIC AND DEFENSIVE CLASSES IN OCTOBER

We are offering sessions of our core courses: Basic Pistol 1, Basic Pistol 2 , Defensive Long Gun Essentials, and Defensive Pistol Skills 1, in October. These are the last sessions of those courses planned for 2015. If you have friends, family, co-workers, or others that are interested in formal firearms training, please let them know about these courses so they don't miss out.

If you want to re-take any of these courses as refresher training, or to run the drills with a different gun, you can do so for $50 ($30 discount).

The October 17th DPS-1 session can be taken using a pistol carried in a belt holster, or any safe non-belt carry method (pocket holster, fanny pack, purse, belly band). Train with what you carry. Carry what you train with.

ADVANCED TRAINING COMBO OCTOBER 24th

Twice a year we offer 3 courses back to back: Defensive Pistol Skills 2, Advanced Training 2 (Force on force), and Low Light Shooting. These 3 courses include live fire skills and tactics in daytime and low light conditions.

Register for all 3 courses for the combo price of $180.

The 3 courses are designed to be taken as an 11 hour block, but you can also register for individual courses at their normal prices.

KNIFE AND IMPROVISED WEAPONS TRAINING OCT 4

On Sunday, Oct 4, Chuck Rives will be back to teach two 4-hour courses. The morning course Defensive Knife Overview will cover defensive knife skills. The afternoon course Small Impact Weapons will cover how to use a wide variety of common objects as an improvised weapon. It's not always legally possible or practical to carry a gun. These courses will teach you skills you can use for those situations.

WEBSITE CHANGES

We have a new mobile-friendly class registration form, a new search page, and a new archive subsite that contains a lot of older content. Look for more changes to the main site over the next few months.

SPECIAL EVENTS IN DECEMBER & JANUARY

On December 5-6 we are offering a combo of guest instructors covering the medical and anatomical aspects of self defense. Caleb Causey returns for a 1 day Dynamic First Aid on Saturday, and Dr. James Williams teaches his Shooting with Xray Vision course on Sunday, Dec 6.

On January 2 to celebrate the start of Open Carry in Texas, we are offering our new Open Carry Concepts course. This 5 hour class covers live fire, tactics and weapon retention skills unique to open carry situations.

January 9th is the date for the 2016 Paul T. Martin Preparedness Conference at the Cabela's in Buda. Registration is now open for all of these December and January events.
