Dynamic Pistol Marksmanship

Course Description: A two day class intended for anyone with a Texas CHL (or equivalent) wanting to improve their defensive shooting skills. This is an intensive course, covering the essential skills involved in fighting with a handgun.

Topics: Rapid presentation from concealed carry, effective gunhandling techniques designed to work under stress, rapid reloading techniques, movement skills (including engaging targets on the move), disability drills, precision shooting, weapon retention/disarming techniques, low light firing techniques (with/without a flashlight), proper defensive mindset and more.

Length: twenty hours

Prerequisites: none

Required Equipment: A centerfire handgun, belt holster, a minimum of 2 spare magazines or speedloaders, magazine/speedloader carriers, eye and ear protection, a baseball cap (to deflect spent brass and keep the sun out of your eyes) and a minimum of 800 rounds of ammunition. A pushbutton flashlight (Maglite, SureFire, Streamlight or similar). A workbook will be provided.
